Google has announced the release of Android 14 Developer Preview. However, it is currently only available on Pixel smartphones, including the Pixel 7 series, Pixel 6 series, Pixel 6a, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, and Pixel 4a. The Developer Preview includes many updates and features, including faster interface speeds, power optimization, and security and privacy improvements. We also added larger fonts with non-linear scaling for all apps. We also optimized the battery usage of background apps.
According to Google's Android Developers page, Android 14 Developer Preview images are available for multiple Pixel devices. This includes the Pixel 7 series with vanilla variants, as well as the Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 5 series, Pixel 5a and Pixel 4a. Users can access the Android 14 system image through the Android Flash tool or by manually installing it. The Android 14 Developer Preview also gave us a glimpse of upcoming features and improvements.
Android 14 Developer Preview hints at larger fonts with non-linear scaling of up to 200% (currently 130% for Pixel devices) in the new update.
Developers can check this by going to Settings > Ease of Access > Screen size and text settings. The improved font scaling also applies to large screens and foldable devices. Another major change is that most newly installed apps are no longer pre-authorized and denied by default.
The new operating system also optimizes battery usage for applications running in the background. This will prevent unwanted apps from draining your phone's battery. Updates can also help apps use less background energy when downloading files. Also includes an updated list of non-SDK restricted interfaces.

According to his tweet, Android 14 will also test app cloning, allowing users to run two copies of the same app through two accounts.
